Mhofu is a charming holiday home in the heart of the African bush, surrounded by nature and wildlife.
Mhofu is situated in Marloth Park, which borders the southern boundary of Kruger National Park. Just 200 metres from the house lies the Crocodile River, which forms the natural boundary with Kruger National Park. From the riverbank, you can spot a host of wild animals and look straight into Kruger National Park.
From the house and the garden, you can regularly enjoy the sight of the remarkable animals roaming freely through Marloth Park. Here, tranquillity, nature and the unique atmosphere of South Africa come together.
Go on a safari in Kruger National Park, explore the beautiful surroundings or simply do nothing at all. Enjoy a leisurely lunch on the veranda, a refreshing dip in the splash pool and a cosy braai as the sun slowly sets.
Mhofu’s location
Mhofu is situated just 200 metres from the Crocodile River, the natural boundary between the world-famous Kruger National Park and Marloth Park. Thanks to this unique location, you can make the most of the natural surroundings and wildlife from Marloth Park.
Kruger National Park itself is also easily accessible from Mhofu. The Crocodile Bridge, one of the gateways to Kruger National Park, is approximately 16 kilometres away. You can reach the entrance in about 15 minutes via the tarmac road. This road was completed in October 2012 and provides a quick and comfortable link to the park.
But you don’t always have to set off on a safari. There is plenty of wildlife to admire around Mhofu too. Wild animals regularly venture into Marloth Park, meaning you can experience South Africa’s unique natural environment even from your garden.
Mhofu is situated on a quiet, leafy street within the secure community of Marloth Park. This allows you to enjoy your stay and the surroundings in complete peace and quiet.
During your stay, our local caretakers are on hand to assist you. They live permanently in Marloth Park and know the area well.
