Mhofu is a charming holiday home in the heart of the African bush, surrounded by nature and wildlife.
Mhofu is situated in Marloth Park, which borders the southern boundary of Kruger National Park. Just 200 metres from the house lies the Crocodile River, which forms the natural boundary with Kruger National Park. From the riverbank, you can spot a host of wild animals and look straight into Kruger National Park.
From the house and the garden, you can regularly enjoy the sight of the remarkable animals roaming freely through Marloth Park. Here, tranquillity, nature and the unique atmosphere of South Africa come together.
Go on a safari in Kruger National Park, explore the beautiful surroundings or simply do nothing at all. Enjoy a leisurely lunch on the veranda, a refreshing dip in the splash pool and a cosy braai as the sun slowly sets.

Mhofu’s location
Mhofu is situated just 200 metres from the ‘Crocodile’ River. This river forms the natural boundary between the world-famous Kruger Park and Marloth Park. Thanks to Mhofu’s perfect location by the river, you can relax on our riverside bench. Or you can take your safari chair, a drink and your binoculars and soak up the sounds and the fantastic views. The animals from Kruger National Park come to drink from this river, and you can admire them up close!
Crocodile Bridge (the Kruger National Park gate) is just 16 km from our holiday home. You can reach the park in 15 minutes via a tarmac road (completed in October 2012)! What’s more, you can enjoy all the wildlife right in your own garden. Mhofu is situated on a quiet, beautiful street within a gated community for optimum security.
Our caretakers at Mhofu live permanently in Marloth Park. When you hire Mhofu, Laurika will welcome our guests to Mhofu and provide you with all the ins and outs of Mhofu and Marloth Park on arrival.
