A comfortable home in the heart of the African bush
Mhofu is a detached holiday home in Marloth Park, surrounded by the tranquillity and natural beauty of the African bush. The house stands on a spacious, wooded plot of approximately 2,000 m² and offers plenty of space to enjoy a relaxing stay in South Africa together.
The house has a cosy living room with an open-plan kitchen and features two bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. Upstairs, there is a loft with additional sleeping accommodation, and there is also a balcony on the second floor.
The outdoor area is just as special. From the large veranda, you can look out over the garden and the surrounding bush. Here, you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast, read a book or have a drink whilst nature comes to life around you and the sounds of the animals in Kruger National Park can be heard.
There is a private splash pool to cool off in. Mhofu also features a balcony and its own boma with a dining area and braai – a lovely spot to enjoy an evening meal together outdoors at the end of the day.
The house has a driveway with a carport for two cars. There is also free Wi-Fi, and Mhofu is equipped with a purified drinking water system.

Mhofu Holiday Home is situated in a unique location, just a 200-metre walk from the Krokodil River – the natural boundary between our Marloth Park game reserve and Kruger National Park. Take a seat on one of the many benches by the river and scan the riverbank in the hope of spotting the Big 5?
Bear in mind that when you rent a holiday home in Marloth Park, the village is divided into two parts by Olifantrijlaan:
Mhofu is close to Gate 2, the river and the entrance to Kruger Park. The houses on the other side of Olifantrijlaan (the Lionspruit side) are far from the river. You’ll need a car to get there. And you won’t hear the sounds of the river or Kruger National Park on that side; those sounds come from Lionspruit instead. That’s why Mhofu’s location is so special!
Many other animals graze or drink from the river. Unique sights you’ll never forget. As dusk falls, you can hear hippos, buffalo, elephants, lions and hyenas. Marloth Park is a paradise for birdwatchers! Species include: hornbills, weavers, pied kingfishers, giant kingfishers, hammerheads, go-away birds (grey loeries), tiptols, woodpeckers and more.
