Data Protection Act

All data you provide to us is stored in a database that is used solely for the purpose of making your booking and providing information about your stay at Mhofu Holiday Home. Personal data is handled with care and kept secure. We do not disclose tenants’ personal data to third parties without their express consent. We comply with the Data Protection Act in all circumstances.

The following describes what data we may process and how we use this data:

Email address

We need your email address to contact you by email, to answer your questions and to confirm your booking. You will receive confirmation of your payments and information about your stay.

Names of all guests

We use your personal details so that we can address you personally, both at the holiday home and in our further communications. Your details and those of your travelling party will be stored. These are also required to process your booking and to inform our caretaker of your arrival.

Address and place of residence

We will send you most of the booking details by email. Some information will be sent by post.

Telephone number

Once a booking has been made, we will need your mobile number for the duration of your stay. In the event of any urgent matters, we would like to be able to contact you in the Netherlands or South Africa regarding your booking or stay. We will provide your telephone number to our caretaker so that they can contact you should the need arise.

Number of guests in a booking

We ask for the number of guests, along with their names and mobile numbers, so that we can inform our caretaker accurately about which guests to expect. The date of birth is used as an indication of age for the purposes of care within the holiday accommodation.

Service

During your stay, you can contact us by telephone, email and via social media. To assist you as effectively as possible, we will store your details and enquiries.

Guestbook

After your stay at the Mhofu holiday home, we’d love to hear how you found your stay. Please leave your feedback in our guestbook at Mhofu. You can also help future guests by writing a review. By sharing your experiences, you give others a better idea of what Mhofu is like. We’ll publish your personal experience on our website (sometimes based on your review on Zoover). When you fill this in, your name will appear on our website.

Photos and reports

By sending us an email, you give us permission to publish the photos and reports you have sent us on the Vakantiehuis bij Kruger Park.nl website. In the same email, you can give us permission to share photos of your stay via the social media channels of Vakantiehuis Mhofu, Facebook. This gives our future guests an even better idea of what a holiday in South Africa – specifically in Kruger National Park, Marloth Park and at Mhofu Holiday Home – is like.

Bank details

We use your bank account number solely for the purpose of refunding your deposit (if you use Wi-Fi).

IP Address

IP addresses are stored to compile statistics on visitors’ browsing behaviour on our website. We also use this data to identify and resolve any issues. In the event of any misuse, Mhofu Holiday Home reserves the right to report this to the relevant internet service provider.

We use a secure SSL connection across the entire website. We employ security procedures to protect the personal data we process, including measures to prevent unauthorised access to this data. We work in partnership with Sohosted. Click here for Sohosted’s Terms and Conditions.
