Facilities in Marloth Park
In Marloth Park, there are two places where you can do your shopping: Marlothi Trading Post and the Bush Centre.
Marlothi Trading Post has a small supermarket with an excellent butcher’s (which also sells souvenirs, has an ATM and sells postcards), a drinks shop, a launderette, a small post office selling a wide range of other items, a delicatessen, a petrol station and Tin Shack, the restaurant.
Bushcentre has a large supermarket with two ATMs. There is a drinks shop, a restaurant called Het Watergat, a playground with a swimming pool and a slide for families, a Field Security office, an estate agent, a good butcher’s, a plant nursery, a building supplies shop, a small souvenir shop and a launderette.
The village also has a hairdresser’s, a church, a snake specialist and a professional ambulance service with two nurses.
Why not enjoy the view from the (covered) viewing point overlooking the Crocodile River in the Kruger National Park: Die Krans. Head out of the village, turn left and drive a short distance or take a lovely long walk. There’s no fence at this spot, so you can take brilliant videos and photos, with an unobstructed view and plenty of seating.
Our own wildlife park, Lionspruit, is home to lions, rhinos, wildebeest, waterbuck, nyala, zebras and more. Lionspruit is free for guests of Mhofu. Lionspruit is open during the day.
